ONE THING/MUSCLE AT A TIME 💪

I don’t believe you should do everything at once…

I’m a firm believer that the strategy that we all recognize as a good strategy in every other area of life – that you should tackle problems piece by piece – should be applied to your fitness.

There is no reason that developing your physique should be an exception to this rule…

The best argument is that if you don’t try to develop everything all at the same rate you will produce muscle imbalances. I think this is crap.

Muscle imbalances are baked into the cake. They are going to happen regardless, so you might as well embrace them:

If you want a set of strong legs, make that a little project for a few months. If your back is lacking from excess pushing movements and not enough pulling movements… do a little pulling every damn day until your back is huge.

You see, this way you can actually correct such muscle imbalances…

If you try to correct them within the context of a weekly workout split, and you don’t have something like fitness dailies you have on the side, it will be more difficult to target growth in a specific area falling behind in growth because… well… your attention is “split.” It’s decided equally. You don’t have an element of inordinate focus you can give to developing a specific thing that is lacking.
