What actually causes cancer?
Cancer actually happens when your body’s normal cells stop following the rules. Normally, old or damaged cells die and new ones replace them. But sometimes, a single cell mutates it ignores the signals to stop dividing and refuses to die. It keeps multiplying again and again, forming a lump called a tumor. Over time, these cancer cells can invade nearby tissues or spread through the bloodstream to other parts of the body. That’s how cancer begins from one tiny cell that forgets when to stop.
